About Us
Carrick & District M.C.C. is a motocross club based in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. We are an affiliated club of the Motorcyle Racing Association of Ireland (MRA) which governs the sport in the province of Ulster.
C&DMCC was formed in June 2007. The club consists of both male and female competitors/club members in excess of 80 members. We have been overwealmed with the support we have been given in 2007 and in 2008 as we are a new club, not even a year old yet. We would like to thank everyone involved with the club for their continued support.
History so far
As a newly formed club, our aim was to run one event before the end of the year. In September 2007 we ran our first event as a club at Loughside farm in Islandmagee. In the eyes of everyone this was a great success and we got great feedback on how well run the event was and how much everyone enjoyed the day. This was great to hear for the club and from this we went on to run a practice day on a Barley stubble field in Ballyrobert before the end of the year. Now that we are into the 2008 season we are hoping to grow as a club and to run a 4 round grasstrack championship in the summer months.
Club Meetings
C&DMCC would like to welcome everyone to attend our monthly club meetings, on the first Tuesday of every month. You will be made very welcome and your attendance will be appreciated. You can come along and listen into whats going on or if you have anything you would like to mention at a meeting, this is your chance. We usually go down to the bar after for a drink and a chat so your more than welcome to come down and meet a few new faces.
