The 'School of Crock' is almost full. We have minimal places left for the training afternoon with Gordon Crockard. If you would like to reserve a place please contact us. The training day including evenings practice will be £40.

Evenings Practice - Adult and Youth Solo Riders

The club will also be running evening practice sessions from 6.30 - 9.30 with everyone getting at least 4 sessions. This will be open to adult & youth solo competitors (60 places).

The fee for the practice night will be : Youth - £10 Adult - £15.

To book your place for the evenings practice on Thursday 24th July please send a text message to the club mobile number ( 07521 421923 ) with your name, grade (Adult A, Adult B, Adult C, Youth) and Licence Number

You must have an MRA licence to ride, if you don't you can get a day licence for a fee of £5.00

School of 'Crock'

Three times British Motocross Champion, World and American GNCC championship contender, Red Bull athlete Gordon Crockard will visit Carrickfergus & District MCC training day at Loughside Farm, Islandmagee, on Thursday 24th July 2008.

 

Gordon, who is a carrick club member, is going to pass on his experience and expertise to 20 local youth motocross riders when he conducts a motocross basic training school. The riders will learn skills to help them with start procedures, cornering and braking plus learning about mechanical, physical and mental preparation to prepare them for the demands of one of the toughest sports in the world.

 

Signing on is at 1pm, instruction between 2 and 5pm, a BBQ tea has been arranged to be followed by an evening of practice sessions when the students and other club members will be able to hone the skills they have hopefully learned earlier in the day.

 

The clubs hopes this will be the first of many similar events to take place at the fabulous venue owned by the very supportive Marsden Family.

 

No Fear/Spy optics, motocross and casual clothing manufacturer have provided a full set of motocross gear to the participant who "Endeavours" to learn the most, participants will also receive a course certificate and autographed No Fear coloured posters.
