About
Carrickfergus & District Motorcycle Club Ltd. was established in 2007 to cater for the large number of competitors and enthusiasts living in the East Antrim area, and was incorporated as a limited company in September 2007. As an affiliated member of the Motorcycle Racing Association (Ireland) “MRA”, all of our events are run under an MRA permit and are covered by MRA insurance.
The club is run by a group of motocross enthusiasts who use their knowledge and experience within the sport along with their professional backgrounds to promote safe and enjoyable events for competitors and spectators. To date, the club has promoted a range of disciples since reforming including: grasstrack, motocross, cross country, endurocross, training and social events. A high calibre of competitors have been attracted to our events over the years from Gordon Crockard (Three Time British Motocross Champion) to David Knight (Four Times World Enduro Champion) and Jonathan Rea (World Superbike Champion).
The club has gone from a handful of club members as a brand new club, to become one of the more prominant clubs in the country with a strong membership of adult and youth supporters. Over our timespan as a affiliated motorcycle club we have and continue to work with some major event partners including Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and The Dalriada Festival Glenarm.
