CARRICK CLUB ANNOUNCE 2014 SEASON PLANS

Carrickfergus & District Motorcycle Club have announced its plans for 2014 and the dates include an adult/youth grasstrack, an EnduroCross and a cross country at a new venue.

The schedule includes a total of four events beginning with a Youth Grasstrack on Tuesday 10th June and followed by an Adult Grasstrack on the following night (Wednesday 11th June) at Quay Park, Larne. Quay Park proved a popular venue among both riders and spectators the previous year so the club was delighted to be offered the chance to use it again in 2014.

Off the back of the very successful promotion of Ireland’s first ever EnduroCross last July, Thursday 17th July will see the Old Quarry in Glenarm host this unique and exciting event again as part of the community events during Dalriada Festival Week. “We are thrilled to be part of the Dalriada Festival Week again in July” said Peter Denney, EnduroCross Coordinator.

“We were overwhelmed by the crowd of spectators that came to watch the racing last year; there was a fantastic atmosphere on a beautiful evening in Glenarm. There is no way you could turn down the chance to put a show on for that crowd again, hopefully it will be even bigger this time round”.

The Carrickfergus Club will conclude their season on Saturday 30th August with a cross country event at a new venue which is yet to be confirmed and entries for events will be available on www.carrickfergusmcc.co.uk approximately six weeks prior to the date.

In the meantime you can stay up to date with C&DMCC on their club website and through social media channels, Facebook & Twitter.
