It’s now under a month until Carrickfergus & District Club promote their 2014 grasstrack events at Quay Park in Larne. Tuesday 10th June will see the Youth fraternity headline proceedings alongside the sidecar racers who will be competing for the prestigious Robert Blair Memorial Trophy. It will be the turn of the Adults on Wednesday 11th June where Premier, Semi Expert, Clubman & Quad classes are available to enter as well a new EVO class.
This year will see an alternate track layout at Quay Park, built to encourage close racing at the popular venue and the format of these evening events is to keep races short and sharp so each group will get a practice followed by three races.
The club is also delighted to announce that Norman Watt Motorcycles are back on board, as they have been for the past number of years with C&DMCC as headline sponsor of the two grasstrack events. This generous sponsorship will be behind the awards presented at the end of each evening to the top three competitors in each individual class. Each class across the adult and youth events will have equal breakdown of awards in way of vouchers to use in Norman Watt Motorcycles: 1st - £30, 2nd - £20, 3rd - £10.
Competitors can avail of the new online entry system in place at www.carrickfergusmcc.co.uk/event-entries. This method of entry has proved an efficient system to use with users able to submit their details and pay by PayPal in a matter of minutes. Standard entry forms can be downloaded and printed from the club website also if you wish to use the old entry method.
