Well it's almost time, the grasstrack show will roll into Larne again on Tuesday / Wednesday of this week and all signs are pointing towards two fantastic race meetings at Quay Park.

A track inspection was carried out on Sunday and thankfully, after the torrential rain we had on Saturday, the paddock field was still firm and suitable for veichular access. The track was also in good condition with the grass helping absorb the rainwater. Metcheck's forecast gives some light showers on both Tuesday & Wednesday morning but the afternoon and evening time shows half decent dry weather and there is even a possibility of some sun, fingers crossed it stays this way, pack your suncream in preparation!

A number of photos have been posted on our club facebook page of the venue and we are delighted with how the place is looking. We even took time to paint the track, spectator & paddock posts fancy colours! Some detail on the events is below:

The youth grasstrack will be held on Tuesday evening with classes catering for 50cc, Junior & Cadet 65cc, Small Wheel 85cc, Big Wheel 85cc, Seniors, 80/100/110 Junior Quad & Blaster Junior Quads. Awards to the top three competitiors overall in each class will be presented at the close of racing (1st £30 Voucher | 2nd £20 Voucher | £10 Voucher).

There is space in all youth classes and ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE NIGHT. If you want to save time at signing on, online entries will be open until 10pm this evening (Mon).

The adult grasstrack will be held on Wednesday evening and ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE NIGHT where space is available but again, if you want to guarantee your place on the grid while saving some time, online entries will be open until 10pm on Tuesday night.

As previously highlighted, Norman Watt Motorcycles have put up voucher awards for the top three in each class, 1st £30, 2nd £20 & 3rd £10.

Here is the current breakdown of entries in the adult classes:

Premier / Semi-Expert - 15

Clubman MX1 - 22

Clubman MX2 - 32

EVO - 10

Quad - 3 (Quad class may not run if entries don't improve drastically)

Please continue to spread the word about both events, we would love the entries to improve further, it looks like we are in for two fantastic nights racing.
