With July fast approaching, the Carrickfergus & District Motorcycle Club is turning its focus to the HTM Off Road backed, EnduroCross event at Glenarm scheduled for Thursday 17th July. Online entry for competitors has now opened and entry forms are also available to download from www.carrickfergusmcc.co.uk.
The EnduroCross was one of the most talked about race events on the Irish off road calendar last year when the Carrickfergus Club brought this captivating event to Northern Ireland for the very first time. All in attendance will have deemed the event a tremendous success and for many, it will have exceeded expectations after a fantastic evening of racing took place overlooking the picturesque Glenarm village.
Event Manager Peter Denney added: “The club is delighted to partner with The Dalriada Festival again to run this enthralling race event and promote off road motorsport to the masses on the big festival stage. Thanks must also go to HTM Off Road, Cullybackey for their renewed headline & expert class sponsorship of the event along with new clubman class sponsor, MTA Process Components, Carrickfergus who have come on board for 2014. Without the support of these parties, we could not run the event to such a high standard.”
Organisers are now encouraging competitors that wish to enter this year’s event to get their entry in sooner rather than later to ensure a place behind the gate. The circuit will remain a similar layout to last season with a few adjustments made to make for a challenging track that is suitable for both Expert & Clubman Motocross/Enduro racers. A number of riders from a motocross background competed last year and thoroughly enjoyed the evening so if you are predominately a grasstrack/motocross discipline rider, don’t be put off, the short race format may even suit you!

**COMPETITIOR INFO & EVENT FORMAT**
The club is now taking entries from competitors for this event. Usual MRA rules apply and entry forms can be downloaded from the club website where you can also enter online and pay your race entry via PayPal. Just go to www.carrickfergusmcc.co.uk and select the EnduroCross event under ‘Event Entries’. Pre entry is required and the entry fee is £30 plus admission at the gate.
The course will be made to suit both Clubman and Expert riders so it’s open to all abilities, it will be a great evenings racing for all. Due to the format we can only take 32 riders per class so don’t hang about; get your entry in before it fills up. Camping is available in the Glenarm Castle Estate and can be booked via www.dalriadafestival.co.uk.
