BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP RIDERS LINE UP FOR SIX MILE WATER GRASSTRACK

Everyone will be crossing their fingers that the Irish weather takes a turn for the better this week as British Championship riders, Glenn McCormick (Agnew Recovery/Watt Motorcycles KTM) and Ashley Greedy (Suitor Brothers Racing) have confirmed their intention to race the Six Mile Water Grasstrack this coming Saturday.

The crowd will no doubt be backing local man McCormick who hails from Gleno but they need not discount Welshman Greedy who will be aiming to spoil the party. Both riders race on the British Championship stage and will provide some excellent racing in the feature, MTA Process Components Expert Class.

Greedy will also feature in the popular Scarlett DIY EVO class on the day and while that will be his limit of classes, also on show throughout the day are Premier/Clubman Quads, Clubman Solo and Sidecars racing for the Robert Blair Memorial Trophy.

A full line up of solo youth classes will accompany the adult racing on Saturday for the opening round of 2015 Watt Motorcycles Youth Grasstrack Series. Kids from as young as 6 years old right up to the youth seniors at 17/18 will begin their 3 round championship in Ballyclare. A reduced entry fee is applicable to the youth for this event due to an adult gate admission charge being applicable.

Both adult & youth competitors can pre enter this event online or alternatively may enter on the day in classes where space remains. To guarantee a place it is advisable competitors pre enter in case a class reaches its limit.

An action packed day lies ahead with racing scheduled to get underway at 11am following the mornings practice sessions. Parking will be available within the venue situated just off the main Templepatrick Road between Doagh and Ballyclare. Admission for over 16’s is priced at just £5 per person and a race day programme will be provided while stocks last.

Those travelling to the event should check this website for the latest news on the close to the time for further updates. Carrickfergus & District Motorcycle Club can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.
