Carrickfergus & District Motorcycle Club are pleased to confirm our planned Grasstrack and Cross Country dates ahead of the 2020 race season. The first Grasstrack of the year will kick off on Sunday 26th April though you will need to wait while longer for the first Cross Country with it due to get underway in later in the season on Sunday 19th July.
There has been much discussion in the background during the off season about ways to improve our events and in order to do that we have made the decision to move the midweek evening events to a Sunday daytime. The move will see what was previously two separate adult and youth Grasstrack race nights being merged into one bumper race day on a Sunday.
We hope that this will not only make the club championships more accessible to people with standard working week commitments but also promote a family race day where both parent and child can race on the same day. Although venues are yet to be confirmed for these events, the club is working to secure multiple venues for 2020.
In addition to this, the club is also set to make use of a strong cross country support within our ranks and stage three cross country style events later in the year. As is the case with the Grasstracks, the venues for these are yet to be confirmed however we are currently exploring a number of exciting options for this.
We will release more information on our exciting plans for 2020 as soon as we possibly can but in the meantime keep an eye on our club website and on our social media channels.
